Mix & Match

Mixing prints is one trend we will not be sleeping on this spring. All of the biggest trendsetters are doing it, so why don't you? With all the bold and bright prints we have this season, it is a great way to give your wardrobe an easy refresh. We all know going out of your comfort zone may be daunting but if you follow these rules, you will be able to pull this trend off seamlessly.

Match colors, not prints

Matching prints in the same tonal family is a great way to bring out the colors in the print. This is a fool-proof tip for beginners who are just experimenting with this style.

Pro tip: Complimentary colors works, too! Following the rules of Basic Color Theory. Contrasting shades pair well with each other. Some examples would be blue with orange, purple with yellow, and red with green.

Textured fabrics count as prints, too.

This is a super-easy way to incorporate into your wardrobe because most chances, you've already got the pieces! Some examples of textures fabrics can include: knits, linen, corduroy, denim, mesh, and the list goes on. Style your linen skirt with a knit top, and don't forget to match the colors!

Big print + small print

Having variations in your print helps add structure to your look. This can be achieved by playing with proportions. You can mix a bolder print, like a striped bottom, with a more subtle design, like a white mesh top, to make your outfit more dimensional.

Accessories counts, too!

A subtle way to mix prints is to pair it with an accessory! You can achieve this by mixing and matching shoes, scarves, socks, purses, or jewelry with your outfit. Wear your scarf as a headband or tie it around your purse to give it a pop of print
